UAE: Got a Golden Visa? The following are eight benefits you can enjoy

Did you know that if you apply for the UAE’s Golden Visa, you will receive additional perks in addition to securing a long-term residency in the UAE?

The following eight advantages of the 10-year visa are listed.

1. Long-term, renewable residency

The ability to live in the UAE on a renewable residence visa with a 10-year validity period is one of the Golden Visa’s primary advantages. As long as you meet the requirements for the category under which you initially applied for the visa, you may renew it.

2. No sponsor or employer is required

In order to obtain a residence visa in the UAE, you typically need a sponsor. This sponsor can either be your employer (if you’re applying for a work visa) or a relative who is already a resident of the UAE (if you’re applying for a family visa). The Golden Visa is one of the self-sponsored visa options that have been established as a result of recent modifications to the UAE’s visa policy.

Workers who, for instance, might be able to shift employment more easily may benefit from having a Golden Visa because they would not need to cancel the resident visa sponsored by their prior company.

3. Staying outside the UAE for more than six months does not nullify the residence visa

The flexibility of the Golden Visa allows holders to extend their stays outside the UAE beyond six months while maintaining the validity of their residency visa. A resident’s residence visa usually expires if they spend longer than six months outside of the UAE.

4. Better options to sponsor family members

All ex-pats are now able to sponsor male offspring up to the age of 25, and if the male child is a Person of Determination, he may be sponsored up to any age under the new visa system. Having a 10-year residency, however, can enable Golden Visa holders to avoid needing to renew their residency every few years. Additionally, the Golden Visa system gives sponsored family members the peace of mind that their permits will continue to be valid even in the event that the primary holder of the Golden Visa passes away.

5. No limit on domestic workers you can sponsor

The Golden Visa also allows you to sponsor any number of domestic helpers.

6. A special multiple-entry visa for Golden Visa applicants

There is a special six-month, multiple-entry visit visa that you can apply for, allowing you to come to the UAE to complete the application papers if you don’t already have a Golden Visa and aren’t currently residing in the UAE.

7. Apply for a driving license without taking lessons

All you have to do to enroll in a driving school in Dubai if you have a Golden Visa and a current driver’s license from your home country. You can apply for the knowledge (theory) and road exam without having to take any classes once you have registered as a student. You will be able to obtain your UAE driving license if you pass both examinations.

8. Exclusive health insurance packages

The health insurance program of their company will continue to cover Golden Visa holders who work full-time in Dubai and Abu Dhabi. However, investors, independent contractors, and those who live overseas are responsible for their own health insurance.

Golden Visa holders can now purchase specialized health insurance plans from the Dubai Health Authority (DHA), with premiums starting as low as Dh2,393 and a Dh300,000 annual coverage cap.
