UAE: Emergency phone numbers you need to know

It is extremely important that you know the hotlines that you can call in case of an emergency in Dubai, whether it be an accident, a medical emergency, a fire at home, or a power outage.

In case of an emergency, here is a useful list of all the numbers you can call in the UAE.

UAE emergency response services are easily accessible via three-digit numbers.

999 for Police

998 for Ambulance

997 for Fire Department (Civil Defence)

996 for Coastguard

991 for electricity failure

Non-emergency numbers

In the meantime, it is important that you contact them only in an emergency situation so that they aren’t swamped with queries that can be answered by other authorities. If you wish to contact the police for a non-emergency situation, like a minor accident without human injury, the customer service number for the police department is 901.
