The new Hanging Gardens in Sharjah - all you need to know

Looking to make the most of the remaining days of the cool UAE season? Sharjah offers a captivating new attraction that you won’t want to miss: Hanging Gardens.

Situated in the city of Kalba along the Sharjah-Kalba Road, Hanging Gardens was officially opened earlier this month by HH Dr. Sheikh Sultan bin Muhammad Al Qasimi, Supreme Council Member and Ruler of Sharjah.

What can you find at the attraction?

The Hanging Gardens boasts over 100,000 trees spread across a vast garden measuring 1.6 million square feet. Visitors can enjoy lush green spaces, beautiful flowers on the terraces, and a refreshing waterfall.

For those looking to relax and take in the stunning views, the restaurant offers a perfect spot. The restaurant, constructed with traditional wooden architecture, features a classic semi-circular design that provides panoramic views of the gardens and waterfall.

Families with children can take advantage of the designated recreational area designed for three different age groups. Adults can explore the climbing routes that showcase the agricultural terraces, waterfalls, vibrant trees, and colorful flowers.

Runners can enjoy a 760-meter running track, while families can opt for a more leisurely tour on the excursion train to explore different parts of the garden.

Skateboarders will be delighted to find a skatepark on the premises, so don’t forget to pack your skateboard and safety gear.

The launch of the Hanging Gardens is just one of the visionary projects initiated by the Ruler of Sharjah to enhance and elevate the economic, tourism, and cultural landscape of Kalba City.
