The latest COVID-19 rules for vaccinated Dubai residents

Due to the onset of the pandemic, Dubai has proactively introduced rules and restrictions to combat the spread of COVID-19 and ensure the safety of residents. Dubai’s National Emergency Crisis and Disaster Management Authority revised its COVID rules for the upcoming Christmas and New Year’s celebrations on 15th December 2021. In anticipation of the upcoming Christmas and New Year festivities in Dubai, the latest COVID-19 rules have been released.

Covid-19 Safety Measures For Christmas And New Year Celebrations

Christmas and New Year events must be limited to 80% of capacity at venues. All attendees must present an Al Hosn green pass and proof of a negative PCR test taken within 96 hours of the event.

In addition to body temperature checks, masks are compulsory at entry points.

Families will be allowed to sit together, but general members of the public will have to maintain a 1.5 metre distance. Different points at the venue should have sanitization stations. Furthermore, people are prohibited from shaking hands or hugging one another at the events.

The organizers of the event are responsible for implementing safety procedures.

Covid Regulations Relating To Weddings, Restaurants, Sports Events, And More

The government announced COVID-19-related safety procedures for wedding venues, restaurants, sports events, and other public spaces in August 2021.

Covid Rules In Dubai For Weddings

As part of Dubai COVID-19 guidelines, the maximum attendance for wedding events at hotels and other venues has been increased to 100. Each guest and staff member must be vaccinated.

The maximum number of guests at home weddings is now 30. Attendees must wear face masks, observe physical distancing at the event, and obtain negative PCR test results within 48 hours of the wedding.

All guidelines for hosting events in Dubai must be followed by the hosts.

Covid-19 Restaurant And Bar Rules In Dubai

In its latest announcement, Dubai’s Department of Tourism and Commerce Marketing (DTCM) also revised the Dubai COVID rules for restaurants and bars. Restaurants and bars are now open until 03:00 am, operating at 80% capacity. Dubai’s management must ensure that COVID regulations are followed.

Connovarus Rules In Dubai For Entertainment And Sporting Events

Residents of Dubai will be pleased to know that sports events, music concerts, award ceremonies, and gala dinners can now be held in the emirate.

Event Capacity

COVID-19 rules in Dubai allow events to operate at 60% capacity with no limitations on participant numbers. It is also necessary to be vaccinated for COVID-19.

Entertainment Activities

According to DCTM’s circular, concert organizers are allowed to admit up to 5,000 individuals to the standing room if they are double vaccinated and have a track on the Al Hosn app. It is mandatory for performers to be vaccinated or receive a negative PCR test result 24 hours before an event.

Award Ceremonies

Attendance at award ceremonies without vaccination has been capped at 1k.

Social Activities

A maximum of 300 people can participate in social activities without being vaccinated.
