Residents of the UAE must complete government service applications

Have you ever been late and hoped a taxi will arrive soon? Or did you have bills due the following day but all the offices were closed? Flying abroad but unsure of which website offered trustworthy information and booking options? Governments in each of the United Arab Emirates have applications that act as a one-stop shop and let you access both government and some commercial sector services.

These are the apps you need to have on your phone if you wish to pay your bills, apply for traffic services, or check flight information in the UAE.

UAE Pass

Consider UAE Pass as a single, all-encompassing account that may be used to access any of the other apps that will be featured below. As a safe national digital identity in the UAE, the application was introduced in 2018. You won’t need to keep track of several accounts and passwords for all the government agencies you frequently communicate with after downloading and registering for the app. Simply use your UAE Pass to log in.

Additionally, you may use the app to digitally sign a document and even use electronic versions of official documents for various services.

The Google Play Store and the Apple App Store both offer the ability to download the application. Users can visit a nearby kiosk with their Emirates ID to register and have their identity confirmed using facial recognition technology.

Al Hosn

The national COVID-19 registry for the UAE is called Al Hosn, and it offers information on a user’s vaccination history and prior COVID-19 test results. To enter some public locations in the UAE, such as the Abu Dhabi and Al Ain airports, you must have a green status on Al Hosn.

On Al Hosn, a grey state denotes that the user’s PCR test result is no longer valid (you must take a test every 14 days to retain a green status), and a red status denotes that the most recent test was positive and that the user should contact their local health authority. It’s possible that users with a grey status won’t be allowed to enter public spaces that demand a Green Pass.

The Apple App Store, Google Play Store, Huawei AppGallery, and Samsung Galaxy Store all offer the option to download the application.

TAMM Abu Dhabi

The objectives of the UAE’s digital government have been launched by each of the country’s seven emirates. The Abu Dhabi Digital Authority introduced the “TAMM Abu Dhabi Government Services” app in 2021. The app gives users access to Abu Dhabi Government services like applying for visas, locating healthcare facilities, paying utility and communications bills, learning more about the Abu Dhabi educational system, and even locating the closest beach.

The Google Play Store and Apple App Store both sell the app. To access the features, users must either have a UAE Pass or register on the TAMM application or website. You can access the TAMM platform there as well: https://www.tamm.abudhabi/en

DubaiNow

In order to give customers access to around 120 public and private services in Dubai, Smart Dubai Government created DubaiNow in 2015. Health, transportation, security, justice, residency, education, and business are some of the categories in which the services fall.

You can use the app to renew your car’s registration, pay for gas, discover pharmacies, pay Zakat, apply for your family’s visas, and more. It is accessible on the Apple App Store and Google Play Store.

Digital Sharjah

The Sharjah Digital Office developed the Digital Sharjah app, which enables users to access Sharjah government services on a single platform. The app allows users to do a variety of things, including pay bills to the Sharjah Electricity and Water Authority (SEWA), book a cab, look for flight information, sign up to volunteer in the community, pay for on-street parking, and launch a business.

The Google Play Store and the Apple App Store both sell the programme. The platform is also accessible through the website https://ds.sharjah.ae/home.

You can use UAE Pass to log in or continue using the app as a guest to access services, but some may require logging in.

AjmanOne

The Department of Digital Ajman created the application AjmanOne to make it simple to access various government services in the Emirate. Both Apple and Android devices can use the programme. The website https://www.ajman.ae/en is another way to access the Digital Ajman platform.

Information about education, transport, health, bill payment, real estate, and other topics can be found on the application and website. Users get access to information on real estate agencies, prayer hours, ATM and money exchange locations, and even applications for parking space reservations.

To use the application or website, you can log in through the UAE Pass.

Digital Fujairah

To provide a based response for government services in the emirate of Fujairah, the Department of E-Government Fujairah created Digital Fujairah. In addition to other services, users can find the closest mosques, and educational research institutions, or view gas stations and bus stops.

The app offers services in a variety of categories, such as health, Islamic, everyday life, education, and transportation. You may download Digital Fujairah for Apple and Android devices.

The user can create a Digital Fujairah account or sign in using UAE Pass to access the services.

mRAK

The Ras Al Khaimah government introduced mRAK as the mobile entry point for official services in the Emirate.

Citizens, residents, visitors, and businesses in Ras Al Khaimah can use the app, which is accessible for Apple and Android devices, for about 88 smart services. Users can apply for jobs with government organizations, learn more about Ras Al Khaimah, see authorized educational institutions, and look for potential investments in the emirate, among other things.

Users can log in through UAE Pass or register a new account.

SmartUAQ

Users in Umm al Quwain can access local department services by using the SmartUAQ app, which was created by the Smart Umm Al Quwain Government department.

Services pertaining to Islamic activities and religious affairs, job and employment, family, education, safety, and the environment, business permits, regulation, transportation, and animals and pets are available to citizens, residents, visitors, and businesses in the Emirate.

Users can view various services that are classified into “citizens,” “residents,” “visitors,” and “businesses” according to their demands. Both Google Play and the Apple App Store both offer the application. The portal is accessible via the URL http://uaq.ae as well.

Users can sign in using their UAE Pass credentials or register on the website or app.
