Are you a Dubai driving student who needs to schedule a knowledge or road test but can’t make it to the driving school? You may now book a test with Dubai’s Road and Transport Authority immediately online (RTA).

RTA announced in an online post on their official social media platforms on Tuesday, May 10 that driving students can now book and amend their driving license tests on the official website of the transportation authority.

In order to obtain a driver’s license in the UAE, a learner must pass three tests:

You can book a date for any of these tests through RTA in Dubai. It’s vital to note that you can only utilize the service if you’re a learner driver registered with a driving school in Dubai.

How to book a driving test online via RTA

  1. To schedule a test, go to https://licensing.rta.ae/dlsportal/#/?channel=1
  2. Provide any of the following information to proceed with the service:
  1. Your learning permit details will be displayed by RTA. This comprises your driving school, your driver’s license file, the number of online theory lectures you’ve taken, and the practical training course you’ve completed.
  2. Depending on whether you have completed your theory lectures or practical training, you must pick between the following tests:
  1. Select the driving school where you are enrolled and the branch where you want to take the test.
  2. After that, select the ‘Date and Time’ option based on the time availability.
  3. Finally, select your preferred exam language:
  1. Finally, click ‘Confirm Appointment’ to pay for the test using a debit or credit card.
  2. Your registered cellphone number will receive a confirmation SMS with the test date, time, and location.

How to get a driving license in the UAE

If you want to take driving lessons in the UAE, you must be at least 18 years old and a UAE citizen or resident. To obtain a driver’s license in the United Arab Emirates, you must pass an eye exam, attend eight hours of theory classes, complete 20 hours of practical instruction, and pass the driving exams.
