New guidelines about the school starting age in Dubai

The Knowledge and Human Development Authority (KHDA) has provided the change in the minimum age for children starting school in Dubai, which was made according to the UAE Ministry of Education (MoE) Resolution no (24).

This was declared on 23rd February 2021 on the KHDA on their social media channels. The new changes state that child must now be three years old to be enrolled in FS1 (or pre-KG), and four years old to be enrolled in FS2 (KG1) at the start of the academic year.

The new lowest age for children which will be required for starting school 

As per the KHDA, the children who want to enroll in FS1 or Pre-KG which will be starting in September they must be three years old or before August 31 of that particular year. Children enrolling in Pre-KG in schools starting in April must be three years old on or before March 31 that year.

Children who are trying to get enrolled in FS2 or KG1 must be four years on or before 31 August which is for the session which will begin in September. And for the children who are willing to get enrolled in KG1, whose session will start in April must be four years old on or before March 31.

And also with the children who are trying to get enrolled in year1 or KG2 must have completed their five years on or before August 31 for school which will start in September. Along with the children enrolling in KG2 in school which will begin in April they must be five years old on or before March 31.

And also children enrolling in year1 or KG2 they must be five years old on or before August 31 for school which will begin in September.
