Moving to a new home in Dubai? Listed below are the steps to transferring your electricity, water supply, television, and internet service

Relocating to a new home can be a daunting task, but fret not, as sorting out your utilities and internet connection is a breeze. You can complete the entire process online within minutes, without even leaving the comfort of your home.

If you’re moving within Dubai, transferring your electricity, water, TV, and internet connection from your old abode to your new one is a simple process. Here’s how you can do it.

How you can transfer electricity and water supply?

Dubai residents can easily transfer their Dubai Electricity and Water Authority (DEWA) connection from their previous home to their new one through DEWA’s Move-to service. This online service also enables users to transfer the security deposit paid for the earlier property to the new one by entering the Ejari contract details of the new property.

To avail of this convenient service, simply visit DEWA’s official website at www.dewa.gov.ae and create an online DEWA account or log in with your UAE Pass. With just a few clicks, you can seamlessly transfer your DEWA connection and security deposit to your new home without any hassle.

This service is a great way to save time and effort, especially for those who are always on the move. By taking advantage of DEWA’s Move-to service, you can ensure that your electricity and water connection is up and running in your new home without any delay.

How to transfer your internet, TV, and landline connection?

Transferring your internet and TV connection is a simple and hassle-free process, but there are a few important factors to consider before applying for the service. Here are three key things to keep in mind:

  1. If you’re moving to a new emirate or an area where a different operator provides the service, you won’t be able to transfer your landline and internet connection. Instead, you’ll need to cancel your current account and apply for a new one with either Etisalat or Du.
  2. Make sure to bring your wireless router, set-top box, and cables with you to the new location. A technician will need these items to set up your connection properly.
  3. To ensure a smooth transition, it’s best to request the transfer a few days in advance. Keep in mind that it may take up to 24 hours for your internet, TV, and landline services to be fully operational.

By following these simple guidelines, you can ensure a seamless transfer of your internet and TV connection. Don’t hesitate to reach out to your service provider if you have any questions or concerns.

For Etisalat by e& users

If you are currently subscribed to Etisalat’s e& service, you have the option to transfer your telephone, TV, and internet (eLife connection) to another provider. This can be done through various channels such as Etisalat’s toll-free call center, the ‘My Etisalat’ app, or by visiting one of their Business Centres.

To ensure a seamless transfer, it is recommended to contact Etisalat’s customer service representatives who can guide you through the process and answer any questions you may have. Additionally, the ‘My Etisalat’ app provides a convenient and user-friendly platform to manage your account and request any necessary changes.
