How to get a free breast cancer screening in the UAE during Breast Cancer Awareness Month

Breast Cancer Awareness Month has officially begun, and free breast cancer screenings will be held in the UAE throughout the month of October to raise awareness about the chronic disease and encourage early detection.

The Pink Caravan Mobile Medical Clinic and the Minivan Clinic will provide free clinical breast examinations and mammogram screenings in Sharjah, Dubai, Ajman, and Abu Dhabi. Friends of Cancer Patients (FOCP), a Sharjah-based non-profit organisation, is organising this initiative with the support of the Ministry of Health and Prevention (MoHAP).

Here’s everything you need to know about the location, dates, and times of the free breast cancer screenings.

These are the locations and timings offering free clinical breast examinations and mammograms for women over the age of 40:

  1. Dubai: Dubai Frame, October 16, 4 pm to 10 pm
  2. Dubai: Raw Coffee, October 23, 10 am to 4 pm

Locations offering a free mammogram for women over the age of 40:

  1. Sharjah: Sharjah Ladies Club, October 7, 4 pm to 10 pm
  2. Dubai: City Centre Mirdif, October 8, 4 pm – 10 pm
  3. Sharjah: University of Sharjah, October 19, 9 am – 3 pm
  4. Dubai: Museum of The Future, October 28, 4 pm – 10 pm
  5. Sharjah: Mega Mall, October 29, 4 pm – 10 pm
  6. Dubai: Digital Park – ‘We Conquer’ event, October 30, 4 pm – 10 pm

Free mammogram screening in Abu Dhabi and Al Ain

The Abu Dhabi Health Services Company (SEHA) has also begun offering free mammogram screenings at all of its Abu Dhabi and Al Ain healthcare facilities. According to SEHA’s 80050 call centre, mammograms will be free for women aged 40 to 60, and breast cancer screenings will be free for women of all ages. You can make a mammogram or breast cancer screening appointment by calling the SEHA call centre at 80050.
