How to apply for a family residence visa on the DubaiNow app?

You can complete the sponsorship process for your family members in Dubai via the DubaiNow app. You can now apply for, renew, or terminate any family member’s residence through the app, according to a May 3, 2021 release from the General Directorate of Residency and Foreigners Affairs (GDRFA).

Following are the procedures to take if you want to use the service and finish the process in the palm of your hand:

  1. Open the DubaiNow app.
  2. Click on the option for ‘Residency’ services.
  3. Following that, you will have the choice to utilise the following services:
  4. a) Entry permit – Apply for an entry permit for your spouse and children.
  5. b) Get residency – apply for entry permit and residency for your spouse and children.
  6. c) Manage residency – view and manage your family’s residency.
  7. d) Check visa status – if you have already applied for someone’s visa, you can enquire about the status with GDRFA
  8. e) Request reports – you can also request for travel reports, which show the countries the sponsor and dependents have entered and left, or dependent reports, which state the list of dependents and their details.
  9. Open a sponsorship file; this requires paying Dh205.25 and is necessary if you do not yet have a dependent under your sponsorship.

You can handle your dependent’s application for residency through the app if they are already listed as your dependent.
