Are you in a rush to catch the bus but need to check your NOL card balance beforehand? To use public transportation in Dubai, you must have a minimum balance of Dh7.50. If you suspect that your balance is running low or if you haven’t recharged your NOL card in a while, don’t worry! The Roads and Transport Authority (RTA) in Dubai offers convenient and user-friendly offline and online methods to top up your card.

Rest assured that all the options provided by the RTA are approved and guarantee that commuters can effortlessly check and recharge their balance within minutes.

1. Are you at the bus stop? Recharge your Nol card conveniently using solar-powered top-up machines

When you find yourself waiting for the bus at a stop or station, take advantage of the solar top-up machines available to recharge your card. It’s worth noting that these machines are situated at specific bus stops and solely accept cash payments. To locate the RTA solar top-up machines, please refer to the following link:

https://www.rta.ae/wps/portal/rta/ae/home/about-rta/contactus#findus

2. Recharge Your NOL Card at Dubai Metro Stations

To conveniently manage your NOL card, including checking your balance, topping it up, or purchasing a new one, Dubai Metro stations offer ticket vending machines and ticket office counters. These facilities are available at all stations, ensuring easy access for all commuters.

When it comes to payment, you have the flexibility to choose between cash or credit/debit card options. This allows you to recharge your NOL card using your preferred method, making the process seamless and hassle-free.

By providing these convenient services, Dubai Metro aims to enhance your travel experience, ensuring that you always have sufficient funds on your Nol card to enjoy a smooth and uninterrupted journey.

3. Recharge your NOL card conveniently at a grocery store

The Roads and Transport Authority (RTA) has designated official ‘top-up agents’ who are authorized to reload NOL cards for customers. These agents are conveniently located in numerous establishments across Dubai, including local grocery stores, mini-marts, cafeterias, and supermarkets.

To easily locate these agents, simply visit the RTA website at https://www.rta.ae/wps/portal/rta/ae/home/about-rta/contactus#findus. Scroll down and click on the ‘nol service channels’ option, followed by ‘nol top-up agents’. This will provide you with a comprehensive list of locations where you can conveniently recharge your NOL card.

4. Recharge your Nol card at a petrol station

Starting in 2022, commuters can conveniently recharge their Nol cards at various locations, including local Zoom stores, standalone stores, and stations operated by Emirates National Oil Company (ENOC) Group and Emirates Petrol Products Company (EPPCO).

In addition to these offline alternatives, there are numerous online options available to recharge your Nol card effortlessly from anywhere and at any time.

5. Instantly Top Up Your Nol Card with the ‘Nol Pay’ App

The ‘Nol Pay’ app offers a convenient instant top-up feature, accessible on smartphones equipped with Near Field Communication (NFC) technology. This wireless data transfer method is compatible with iPhone, Android, and Huawei devices.

To effortlessly check your Nol card balance, simply open the ‘Nol Pay’ app and tap on the “check card info” option. Then, place your NOL card on the back of your smartphone without removing it. The app will promptly display your balance, along with the transaction history for your convenience.

To recharge your card, follow these simple steps:
1. Tap on the “Top-Up nol card” option.
2. Place your NOL card on the back of your smartphone, ensuring it remains still until the app reads the card data. Once the app successfully reads the data, you can remove the card.
3. Choose the desired top-up amount from the provided options or select a custom amount, with a maximum limit of Dh150.
4. Confirm your selection and proceed by tapping the “Pay” button.
5. The app will then redirect you to a secure payment portal, where you can enter your credit/debit card details.
6. Once you’ve completed the payment process, place the card on the back of your smartphone again, without moving it. The app will utilize NFC technology to transfer the selected amount onto your card.
7. Finally, you will be able to view a comprehensive summary of your payment, with the top-up amount instantly reflected in your card balance.

With the ‘Nol Pay’ app, topping up your Nol card has never been easier or more convenient. Enjoy seamless transactions and effortless management of your card balance, all at your fingertips.
