Etisalat’s latest updates:- 5-day grace period for paying bills, switching off its 2G network, Renewing sim card

Etisalat's 15-day grace period for paying bills

Etisalat is one of the biggest telecom companies in the Middle East. In an August 11 announcement, Etisalat of Abu Dhabi confirmed that Etisalat bills for the previous month’s usage were due on the 15th of every month, starting on the first of the month.

You have until August 15 to settle your bill if your bill is drafted on August 1 for your July usage.

Besides avoiding recurring reminders, customers will also avoid a Dh26.25 reconnection fee inclusive of VAT by paying their bills on or before the due date.

Options to pay the bill:

Prior to any service disconnection, you will receive a notification to pay your bill on the due date. You can set up an auto-pay service so that a fixed amount or the full amount of the bill will be automatically deducted from the customer’s credit card on the due date.

2G switch off:

The Telecommunications and Digital Government Regulatory Authority (TDRA) has announced that Etisalat will gradually switch off its 2G network by the end of 2022.

Despite this transition and modernization, the authority has assured that it would continue to support these endeavors.

Reneewing your Etisalat sim card online:

According to Telecom Regulatory Authority (TRA) policy, customers must renew their Etisalat mobile numbers (SIM) by updating their profiles with all necessary details. Registering mobile accounts is mandatory, and failure to do so could result in the number being deactivated. Here’s how to renew your registration:
