During unstable weather, make sure you have these emergency numbers on hand

Severe thunderstorms, powerful winds, and torrential rain are forecasted to persist in the UAE until early Wednesday. Local authorities are advising residents to exercise caution and keep emergency contact numbers readily available.

On Monday, April 16, the Dubai Media Office issued a reminder for residents to have essential emergency numbers on hand in the event of accidents or issues arising from inclement weather conditions.

Emergency numbers

In case of any kind of an emergency, you can call the following numbers from anywhere in the UAE:

Police: 999 (Emergencies Only)
Ambulance: 998
Fire Department: 997

Ajman Police recently took to their official Instagram account to remind residents in the UAE to utilize the non-emergency number for complaints and inquiries, rather than calling 999 unless it is a true emergency.

For non-urgent matters, individuals are encouraged to dial 901 to reach the police department. This will help ensure that emergency lines remain open for those in immediate need of assistance.
