Dubai to Sharjah ferry from Dh15 - what you need to know

Starting on Friday, August 4, a ferry will run between Dubai and Sharjah for just Dh15.

Dubai’s Roads and Transport Authority (RTA) declared that the Dubai Ferry service would return and operate seven days a week. Although the service was initially introduced by RTA in 2019, it was briefly stopped due to the COVID-19 epidemic.

Here’s how to travel on the new boat route and avoid the Dubai-Sharjah traffic once service resumes.

Where can one take the ferry from?

Dubai station: Al Ghubaiba Marine Station

The Al Ghubaiba Metro station on the Green Line is two minutes’ walk from the marine station, which is situated in Bur Dubai’s Al Fahidi district.

Sharjah station: Aquarium Marine Station

The station is conveniently situated adjacent to the Sharjah Aquarium, within the Al Majaz 3 area. To reach this location, you can rely on the efficient Sharjah bus service, known as Mowasalat, which operates Bus Route 7 and Bus Route 3.

How long does the trip take?

The ferry will shuttle passengers between Dubai and Sharjah within 35 minutes.
