Dubai Expo City reopens to the public - what are the free features?

As more pavilions open to guests over the weekend, UAE citizens will once more be able to enjoy visiting Expo City Dubai. Here is a summary of all the announcements that have been made that are important for you to be aware of since certain pavilions will be accessible to the general public beginning on October 1.

When is Expo City Dubai reopening to the public?

Two pavilions at Expo 2020, Alif (the Mobility Pavilion) and Terra (the Sustainability Pavilion), are now open to guests from September 1. Also, they had access to the rotating viewing tower attraction Garden in the Sky.

The rest of the Expo 2020 Dubai site will be accessible to tourists starting on October 1.

How can you visit it?

While the Al Wasl Plaza and “Surreal,” the site’s flowing waterfall, are accessible without charge, you will need to purchase tickets in order to enter the pavilions and attractions. These consist of:

1. One-day attraction pass

The attractions pass, which is accessible online, will initially give guests entry to the Terra and Alif pavilions, the Vision Pavilion, the Women’s Pavilion, which will reopen on October 1, and the Women’s Pavilion.

While all visitors can enjoy daily access to the Surreal water feature and Al Wasl Plaza, which also open on October 1, children aged 12 and under and People of Determination must first receive a free pass from one of Expo City Dubai’s ticketing booths.

Recently, Expo City Dubai welcomed back school groups and provided specialized educational programmes that were charged separately. Visit www.schools.expocitydubai.com for more information on the Expo School Programme and its new offerings.

2. Individual Pavilion Pass

Individual pavilion tickets are Dh50 per person for each pavilion for guests not using the Attractions Pass (free for children aged 12 and under and People of Determination).

Garden in the Sky – Dh30

Entry is free for children aged five and under.
