Dubai, Ajman, and Ras Al Khaimah students can get up to 50 percent off public transportation

You can save money on buses or Dubai Metro costs if you frequently use public transportation in the United Arab Emirates.

You must apply for a smart card issued by local transit authorities in the UAE in order to take advantage of this discount. In Dubai, Ajman, and Ras Al Khaimah, students can already take advantage of discounted public transit costs.

You must, however, meet certain standards and present documentation proving your enrollment in a school or institution in the UAE in order to apply for the card. Here is everything you require to know.

Dubai – 50 percent discount on the bus, Metro, or Tram

Students in Dubai who commute by public transit must apply for a blue personal nol card from the Roads and Transport Authority (RTA). Only RTA buses, Dubai Metro, and Tram are eligible for the student discount.

A personalized card connected to your Emirates ID is the blue Nol card.

The student card is renewed after its initial year of use. If you don’t renew the card, you’ll be charged the full ticket without the discount.

Through the RTA’s official website, www.rta.ae, or mobile application, “RTA Dubai,” you can apply for the blue Nol card.
