Don’t know who hit your car? You can file an unknown traffic accident report through Dubai petrol stations

Have you ever left your car parked outside for a few hours only to come back to discover damage and some minor scratches? You can make a report for an “unknown traffic accident” if the driver who hit your car is not at the site.

But what happens if your phone isn’t connected to Wi-Fi or has no data? Instead, you can report a traffic accident to the police at the closest petrol station.

The Emirates National Oil Company (ENOC) and Dubai Police have partnered on the new “On-the-Go” programme, which enables drivers to report “unknown traffic incidents” or minor traffic accidents at ENOC service stations in Dubai.

How does one report a traffic accident at a petrol pump in Dubai?

Visit the closest ENOC station in Dubai, and a staff member there will notify Dubai Police of the accident.

The worker will first take a photo of the damage. After that, you must provide information on your car, including its licence plate, driver’s licence number, and cell number.

The vehicle owner will receive a confirmation SMS and transaction number when the report has been filed, allowing them to track the case.

Through the Dubai Police app

As an alternative, you can register a report in a few minutes by using the Dubai Police app, which is available for Apple and Android devices.

Cost

The service fee for filing an anonymous traffic report is Dh420.
