The UAE initiated its cloud seeding program in the 1990s, and throughout the 2000s, the National Centre of Meteorology (NCM) collaborated with international partners such as NASA and the National Center for Atmospheric Research in the US.

According to Mariam Al Mheiri, the Minister of Climate Change and Environment, the nation’s rain enhancement initiative is crucial for improving food and water security, replenishing groundwater reserves, and promoting tourism.

How effective is the process?
