Abu Dhabi Health Services Company (Seha) has introduced a new Whatsapp service that makes it easier to schedule an appointment for the COVID-19 vaccine in Abu Dhabi.
The Abu Dhabi Media Office announced the new Whatsapp channel on June 14, which offers several services other than booking a COVID-19 vaccine appointment, such as raising customer inquiries, making follow-up appointments with doctors, or checking the location of Seha facilities.
You can use the service by following these steps.
Step 1: Add the Whatsapp service to your list of contacts
On your smartphone, you will need to add and save the number – 02 4102200 – as a contact. You can then send a message to the number through Whatsapp.
Step 2: Send an initial message
When you have added the number to your contact list, open the Whatsapp app and send an initial message to Seha.
Step 3: Select COVID-19 vaccine appointment
A message will then appear with a list of services you can access through this Whatsapp chat. Select ‘2’ for appointments for COVID-19 vaccines.
Step 3: Book an appointment
As the service is connected to Seha’s patient portal, you will be asked for your Emirates ID and registered phone number in order to access it.
When you register your mobile number with Seha, you will be able to book an appointment for the COVID-19 vaccine, along with the location and timing of the vaccination. Select your preferred time and location to book your appointment.
