Are you planning a vacation abroad? You might be concerned about leaving your home unattended if you are.
If you don’t have somebody to check in on your house while you’re away on vacation, Dubai Police offers a home security service to villa owners. Residents of villas can sign up for the ‘home security’ service, which allows patrol cars to keep an eye on their homes while patrolling the neighborhood.
You can sign up for the service via the Dubai Police mobile app or their official website, www.dubaipolice.gov.ae. The service is provided without charge.

2. Fill in the Home Security application
A series of instructions from Dubai Police will be shown to you before you can access the registration form. These instructions serve as a checklist to ensure that you’ve followed all of the required precautions:
- To be eligible for the service, you must live in a villa or house.
- Make sure your home’s doors and windows are locked.
- Lock up the closets and other valuables.
- Put your cash and valuables in a bank-safe deposit box.
- Never leave your keys in your car.
- Ask a cousin or friend to keep an eye on your house while you’re away.
- Make sure all water faucets and electrical outlets are turned off.
- Go to the nearest police station and report your address.
- Check that both the indoor and exterior cameras are operational.
You’d have to tick each box to indicate that you’ve taken the necessary precautions.

4. Add in your address:
You may find the address by entering your Makani number or using Apple/Google Maps. You’ll also need to fill in the following information:

5. Provide your travel details
After that, add in your travel details:
- Date of departure
