If you are planning a day out at Dubai Mall with family or friends, there are numerous exciting activities to enjoy such as shopping, watching a movie, and exploring the Dubai Aquarium or the iconic fountains. However, with the plethora of options available, it is easy to lose track of time and end up accumulating parking fees.
In July, Dubai Mall partnered with Salik to implement a paid parking system. This system allows visitors to enjoy four hours of free parking on weekdays and six hours on weekends. After the allotted free time, parking fees apply. While this provides ample time to explore the mall, it is possible to exceed the free hours without realizing it.
To avoid incurring parking fees, there are alternative parking options available for visitors to consider.
You can still get free parking in Dubai Mall
Zabeel and Fountain Views parking areas provide complimentary parking, making them perfect for extended stays.
Use public transportation
1. Dubai Metro
One of the most convenient and efficient ways to access Dubai Mall is by utilizing the Dubai Metro. The closest station to the mall is Burj Khalifa/Dubai Mall Station, which is conveniently connected to the mall by the Metro Link Bridge. This bridge is a fully air-conditioned glass tunnel that provides stunning views of Downtown Dubai.
The Metro Link Bridge operates from 10 am to 12 am on Mondays through Wednesdays, and from 10 am to 1 am on Thursdays through Saturdays.
If you prefer not to walk the 10- to 15-minute distance from the Metro station to Dubai Mall, you have the option of taking a feeder bus. Simply head to the Dubai Mall entrance by following the signs for Dubai Mall Metro Bus Stop 2 within the Burj Khalifa/Dubai Mall Metro Station. From there, you can catch the F13 bus that will transport you directly to Dubai Mall.
2. Dubai public taxi
Taxis are easily accessible at Dubai Mall. You can flag one down from various locations, including P3 Zabeel Exit, P3 Cinema Parking near The Village, and P4 Fashion Avenue Parking.
3. Careem and Uber
When utilizing ride-hailing services such as Careem or Uber, designated pick-up and drop-off points have been established for your convenience. Additionally, there is a special queue designated for People of Determination and Senior Citizens.
Pick-up points can be found at The Village and P4 Fashion Avenue Expansion Entrance, while drop-off points are located at the Waterfront Promenade and Fashion Avenue Expansion – Boulevard Level.
When booking through the app, you will be directed to the appropriate taxi pick-up point. Once at the mall, simply follow the signs for taxi pick-up and drop-off, which are prominently displayed throughout the mall.
4. Public bus
The Dubai Mall is conveniently accessible via two bus routes, with buses arriving at regular 16-minute intervals. Route 27 connects the Gold Souq bus station to the mall, while Route 29 links the Ghubaiba bus station. Both bus routes drop passengers off at the tourist area near the Grand Drive Entrance on the Lower Ground Floor. This provides visitors with easy and efficient transportation options to reach the mall and explore its offerings.
