Dubai: In a weekend celebration planned for families, the world’s tallest and largest observation wheel – Ain Dubai – opened on Thursday. Visitors will get a view of the city from 250 meters up on the observation wheel during a 38-minute ride. In order to enjoy a new view of the Dubai skyline, here are all the details you must know about Ain Dubai.

When will it open?

On Thursday, October 21, Ain Dubai opened its doors for the public at 2 pm. The opening is going to be a two-day event with entertainment and activities for the whole family.

Ain Dubai’s regular operating hours will be from 12pm to 10pm every day.

From the observation wheel…

With a clear day, you will have a view of Dubai Marina, Jumeirah Beach Residence (JBR), Burj Al Arab Jumeirah, and the Burj Khalifa, as well as the Arabian Gulf.

The cabin has a capacity of 40 people; however, COVID-19-related restrictions may apply.

Ain Dubai Location:

Ain Dubai is located on Bluewaters Island in Dubai Marina. Take Exit 29, from either direction, off Sheikh Zayed Road (E11) and follow signs for D59 Garn Al Sabkha Street. Stay on D59, which will lead you to the Bluewaters Island and Ain Dubai.

Public transport

Dubai Marina station on the Red Line is the closest Metro station to Bluewaters. Ain Dubai is approximately a six-minute walk from the JBR Stop 2 on the Dubai Tram. Bluewaters Island can also be reached by bus:

Route 8 (from Gold Souq Bus Station to Ibn Battuta Metro Stop 1)

Route 84 (from Jumeirah Beach Residence Station 2 to Al Khail Gate 1)

Route F55A (from Satwa Bus Station 3 to Al Maktoum International Airport 1)

Cost:

It depends on whether you want a shared or private cabin, as well as whether you get a family pass or a special lounge and party package.

Basic tickets for shared cabins start at Dh130 per person, while family passes are priced at Dh370 for two adults and two children (between three and twelve years of age). Private cabins can cost up to Dh1,150 or Dh1,900, depending on your package.
