What is the process for filing a criminal case?
The first step is to choose your preferred platform
If you want to file a criminal case in Dubai, you can use the following smart services:
- Online – https://www.dubaipolice.gov.ae/wps/portal/home/services/individualservices/opencriminalcase
- Dubai Police app.
Apps are available for Apple and Android devices. You can file a criminal complaint by logging into your account and selecting “File Criminal Complaint”.
- Visit a smart police station.

Your Emirates ID number and an email address will be required.
Enter case details in step 3
You will also need to provide details about the case, such as:
- A description of your claim.
- The date, time, and location of the alleged incident.
- Any witnesses to the alleged crime, or any evidence of the alleged crime.
- Please add any additional comments you wish to make.
Next, select the police station in the area where the crime occurred.
