Look closer at this remarkable structure, which has been built as part of the Expo 2020 preparations.

Height Of Dubai Frame

An iconic attraction in Dubai, Dubai Frame stands 150 meters tall and measures 93 meters wide. The Dubai Frame’s height of 492 feet makes it one of the top vantage points in Dubai, offering unobstructed views of both old and new Dubai. Incorporating the Design Ring used in the Expo 2020 Dubai logo, the huge picture frame is the largest on the planet and holds the record for the largest picture frame in the world. Within the first year of its opening, the Dubai Frame received more than one million visitors.

Fernando Donis, the designer of the iconic frame in Dubai, had submitted the design to ThyssenKrupp Elevator International Award, and his design won among 926 submissions. The Frame was built using 9,900 cubic meters of reinforced concrete, 2,900 square meters of laminated glass, and 2,000 tons of steel, making it an architectural masterpiece that will be a cultural landmark for years to come.

A Dubai Frame Tour: What Can You Expect?

You will feel as if you are in a time machine when you visit the Dubai Frame. The Frame takes you on a journey through three eras in the UAE – the past, the present, and the future. Here are some details about the three sections that you can see at Dubai Frame.

Old Dubai Gallery – The Past

As you walk through the mezzanine floor, you will be able to experience a multimedia exhibition with 3D projections and special effects that will allow you to learn about Old Dubai in a multi-sensory way. In addition to seeing all the elements of Emirati heritage and traditions, you will see how the city has rapidly transformed from a fishing community to one of the world’s most luxurious and urbane destinations.

Dubai Presents – A View of Old and New Dubai

When you finish a tour through Old Dubai, you will ride an express lift that will take you to The Skydeck in only 47 seconds, which represents present-day Dubai. You can see all of Old Dubai’s residential areas from this vantage point, which offers a 360-degree uninterrupted view of both areas. As part of this tour, you also get to see downtown, where the iconic Burj Khalifa stands tall along with the apartments in Business Bay. You also get to walk over the famous transparent glass floor. The Sky Deck features many interactive screens where you can identify buildings from the deck and take a selfie, which will appear on a wall in Dubai called the ‘Dubai Moments Wall’.

The Future Dubai Gallery

After you have finished exploring the Sky Deck, you will be taken back to the mezzanine floor, where you will move through a tunnel using special lights and sound effects to experience what Dubai will look like in 50 years. Colorful projections and vibrant colors give you the feeling that you’re in a time vortex, a passage through time to Dubai Future. If you wish, you may also purchase a souvenir from the souvenir shop once you complete the three phases.
