The value of real estate deals in Oman exceeds $4.4 billion

According to the most recent data released by the National Centre for Statistics and Information (NCSI), the traded value of real estate property in the Sultanate of Oman increased by 6.4% to OMR1,730.2 million through the end of July 2024, compared to OMR1,626.4 million during the corresponding period in 2023.

Fees collected for all legal transactions totaled OMR38.2 million as of the end of July 2024, according to preliminary statistics released by NCSI. This represents a decrease of 0.4% from the same period in 2023.

By the end of July 2024, the traded value of sales contracts had increased to OMR 631.3 million. The quantity of sale contracts had increased to 38,627 from 38,440 during the same period in 2023, a 0.5% increase.

Up to the end of July 2024, the traded value of mortgage contracts increased by 8.9% to OMR1,090.7 million.

In the meantime, there were 11,799 mortgage contracts, down 15.9% from 14,029 contracts during the same period in 2023. By the end of July 2024, the number of properties issued decreased by 5.2% to 130,647, while the number of properties issued to GCC citizens increased by 14.1% to 857.
