Al Bawani, Blumer Lehmann Secure Significant Hotel Contracts at TRSDC

Saudi Arabia developer, The Red Sea Development Company (TRSDC), has provided two major contracts for its hotel development to local KSA contractor AL Bawani and Swiss firm Blumer Lehmann.

The further information of the contract required Al Bawani to be in charge of civil and structural works over 40 hotel villas on the Southern Dunes site, along with the utility works and site-wide roads.

TRSDC said the roads are “an integral part of development plans for the project” as they will interlink the hotel villas, restaurants, and central hotel buildings.

The Saudi-based company will also be in charge of the earthworks and normalization of each of the villas, along with their structures and underground advantages connections. Al Bawani’s scope also has the construction of the infrastructure networks for the Southern Dunes resort, like sewage, potable water, telecommunications, and landscape lighting.

Al Bawani will build staff living facilities on-site close to the Southern Dunes development, This will eventually house 700 employees and will have a host of facilities.

Commenting on the contract win, Al Bawani CEO, Fakher Alshawaf, said: “This award represents a first for the Southern Dunes and is an essential part of the development plans for The Red Sea Project. Blumer Lehmann will be in charge of timber construction planning and fabrication along with the supply works for a hotel located on Ummahat Al-Shaykh Island.

This award contains the design, off-site manufacturing in Switzerland, and providing all engineered timber material for the whole hotel, overwater and beach villas, spa and fitness building, restaurants, and the upcoming building.

As per the installation stage, Blumer Lehmann will give the technical support and supervision needed for installation on-site.
