In the third quarter (Q3) of this year, 351 mortgage transactions totaling QR10.802 billion were completed.
With 190 mortgage transactions, or 54.1 percent of all mortgaged properties, Doha Municipality had the most mortgage transactions, followed by Al Rayyan Municipality with 84 transactions, or 23.9 percent. Then, based on data from the Ministry of Justice, Umm Slal Municipality had 26 transactions, or 7.5 percent, of all mortgaged properties.
Doha Municipality has the highest mortgage value in Q3, 2024, at QR8.763 billion, while Al Shamal Municipality has the lowest, at QR2.160 million.
The ratio of the number of mortgage transactions in all transactions in all municipalities that witnessed mortgage transactions, with the exception of Doha Municipality, was discovered when taking into account the indicator of movement of mortgage transactions. With 230 transactions, or 45.1 percent of all mortgaged properties, Doha Municipality recorded the most transactions, followed by Al Dhaayen Municipality with 139 transactions, or 27.3 percent. Next in line is Al Rayyan Municipality, which has 83 transactions, or 16.3% of all mortgaged properties.
