Oman's real estate trading reaches $4.1 billion

When compared to OMR1.39 billion at the end of July 2022, the total value of real estate trade in the Sultanate of Oman increased by 16.8% to OMR1.62 billion at the end of July 2023.

According to preliminary data from the National Centre for Statistics and Information (NCSI), the total amount of legal transaction fees collected at the end of July 2023 was OMR38.3 million, a rise of 10.9 percent from the end of July 2022.

For 38,440 contracts, the exchanged value of sales contracts totaled OMR619 million.

14,029 mortgage contracts were traded for OMR1.17 billion, a 44.1 percent increase, while 840 swap contracts totaling OMR5.9 million were transacted.

By the end of July of last year, there were approximately 137,850 properties granted—an increase of 4.9 percent—while the number of properties issued to GCC citizens—the Gulf Cooperation Council—was 751—an increase of 91.6 percent.
