In October 2023, Qatar's real estate trading volume reached $357 million

In October 2023, the Real Estate Registration Department of the Ministry of Justice registered a total of QR1,329,442,298 in real estate trade volume through sale contracts.

332 real estate transactions were registered throughout the month, according to data from the Ministry of Justice’s real estate analytical bulletin. The index of sold real estate showed a gain of 11% from September 2023, while the index of exchanged areas showed a 28% increase.

According to the real estate market index, the municipalities of Doha, Al Rayyan, and Al Dhaayen had the highest number of transactions in October 2023 in terms of financial value. These were followed by Umm Slal, Al Wakrah, Al Khor, Al Dhakira, Al Shamal, and Al Shahaniya.

According to the October real estate market index, Doha municipality’s transactions had a total financial worth of QR 500,633,884. The transactions of Al Rayyan municipality had a financial value of QR 428,021,059, whilst the transactions of Al Dhaayen municipality had a financial value of QR 144,837,012. The transactions of the Umm Slal municipality had a total financial value of QR 114,472,316. A total of QR 82,281,329 in transactions were recorded by Al Wakrah municipality, QR 43,331,656 in transactions were recorded by Al Khor and Al Dhakira municipality, QR 14,295,042 in trading was recorded by Al Shamal municipality, and QR 1,570,000 in transactions were recorded by Al Shahaniya municipality.

Based on the traded space index, the municipalities of Al Rayyan, Doha, and Al Dhaayen were the most active in terms of traded real estate spaces in October. Al Rayyan accounted for 39 percent of the total, Doha municipality for 19 percent, and Al Dhaayen for 13 percent. Of the total traded spaces, Umm Slal recorded 11%, Al Wakrah recorded 9%, Al Khor and Al Dhakira recorded 6%, and Al Shamal recorded 3%.

Trading indices showed that, in terms of the index measuring the number of real estate transactions (sold properties), Al Rayyan accounted for thirty percent of the total, followed by Doha (19 percent), Al Dhaayen (18 percent), Umm Salal (12 percent), Al Wakrah (10 percent), Al Khor and Al Dhakira (8 percent), and Al Shamal (3 percent).
