Bahrain real estate platform benefits 15,700 people with social housing

The Housing and Urban Planning Ministry said that over 15,000 people have profited from a real estate platform that assists Bahraini nationals seeking to buy reasonably priced homes.

“Baity” (My House), a project backed by Eskan Bank, was introduced in February as part of the third Housing Finance Exhibition to ease the purchase of homes in the kingdom.

Amna Al Romaihi, Minister of Housing and Urban Planning, praised the platform’s outstanding performance and stressed the significance of letting citizens profit from such programs.

“The platform has witnessed a big turnout, with about 15,700 people using the platform since its launch in February,” she said yesterday.

“Our database indicates that the number of monthly users is steadily growing.

“This is the result of the diverse options it provides for available properties at prices that suit the value of housing financing through the ‘Tas’heel’ and ‘Mazaya’ initiatives.”

On the app, users can view residential plots and apartments in addition to housing units that can be purchased.

Users can also access information about every property offered by real estate firms in the kingdom.

“There has been an increase in the number of properties on the platform, and an increase in real estate activities in general as a result,” said Ms Al Romaihi.

“There are currently 43 companies available registered, with almost 11,580 properties for sale worth about BD1.3 billion.”

The citizens who want to take advantage of “Baity” have two options: they can visit the website baity.bh or download the application from Google Play or the App Store. Upon clicking on an interactive map, users can filter properties by governorate, real estate agency, type, price, and size. After selecting a property of interest, they can view pertinent details like price, size, number of parking spaces, number of rooms and bathrooms, and number of roads on which the property lies.

In addition, some properties feature virtual tours so that prospective buyers can see the interior before making an offer. The website also provides a list of local amenities, such as restaurants, parks, and schools. Buyers can also choose how they want to finance their new home; since the platform’s launch, roughly 58% of users have opted to use “Tasheel,” 22% have used “Mazaya,” and 20% have used “Mazaya Advantage.”
