As per new real estate rules in Saudi Arabia, only citizens to be allowed to advertise properties

RIYADH: As per the new Real Estate Ads Controls, issued by the General Real Estate Authority, only Saudis can advertise real estate in the Kingdom.

The new advertising controls are focused on reducing fake real estate advertisements, helping their reliability and credibility.

Controls also need the registry of the advertisers’ name on the National Single Sign-On platform (NAFAZ) given that the advertiser is the owner of the property or a legal agent or a real estate broker under a written authorization or a court order.

The Real Estate General Authority also issued the licensing and classification needs for electronic real estate platforms to increase their reliability.

The Authority focused on that on the off chance that one of the licensing conditions is violated, various lawful measures will be taken. The Authority would commit the platform to eliminate the ad and advise the advertiser, or to prevent the advertiser from publishing on the platform for more than a year.
